The tall dark haired man chuckled, reaching to run a hand down her side. "I kind of went fast there. How about I start over and come up with a way for you to tell me which you would prefer first. One nod for wrestling, two for chasing, three for brushing and four for some combination."

Amadeus blinked after the man, confused. Rubbing at his chest, he shrugged before opening the cage and walking in. He winked at her before heading over to her water dish to check on it. "What would you like to do? Some more wrestling? Some chase? I trust you not to eat me. Or I could brush you, if you wanted."

Benji had tensed when she talked about asking Maggy but after she explained, the man relaxed. "Oh! Yes! I would enjoy that. I like being up high. And when you scratched my ears." He bounced on the balls of his feet, excited for things.

Amadeus smiled, bowing his head in acknowledgment. "Thank you sir. That is my goal. To do the utmost best I can for all of them. Though, Myanna has certainly become my favorite. That does not mean I will neglect the others, though. Just a few more treats and scratches sent her way," he said, looking over at the tiger in question.

Benji paused, cocking his head and looking at her with wide eyes. "I...you would let me? I don't want to run away. Not now. After you found me, I felt really bad. I am sorry. I don't want you to get in trouble. And if you are looking after me, I will be happy. You are very nice and I trust you."

"It is their son who started it. Him amd Jason, with their kind hearts. They purchased Cassie and Octavius, freed them, and have been living happily together. The twins Cassie and Max bought and adopted. It would appear to me you have become appart of this family. You and your Andromeda," Vera said, winking at Magda. They sound big but in the long run, will lead to happier, healthier animals. Especially Myanna. She is gorgeous and very intelligent. I completely understand why she is your favorite. I was actually on my way back to wrestle with her for a bit. Tire her out before bed," Amadeus explained, smiling as he talked of his work. He truly loved and cared about animals.

"Maybe...they felt me all up, poked me with needles, ran tests and fed me actual good food. I was really scared...but could sense they wanted to help. There was no escaping there. And I did need help. Still do. I am still thin and sore. But I am getting better. Soon, I will be good to sleep in trees again! They have some high perches in my cage. But out here is more fun. I can't change here with the direct sunlight though. I am a night dweller. But in the evenings and mornings I use the shadows of trees to keep my form. Indirect sunlight is good," Benji said, looking around to see if he could find any. Pointing to the forest he smiled. "There would be good. You said I will be safe here. I trust you."

Vera smiled, nodding. "I bet. It takes some exploring to get it all sorted out. No need to worry. Someone will find you. I heard Elaine, Max's mother, say she wanted to house some freed slaves here. Ones who could pretend to be or actually be servants. Those who wished to work would be paid before being sent on their way if they choose. If they didn't want to, they could simply pretend and adjust to life as a free slave before taken to the next stop. I think it is wonderful that the family is thinking of such things. If that does happen, there will be plenty of people milling about." Padding softly, the goddess led the way to the cozy front room. It housed a fire place, some books, and elegant seating.

Amadeus grinned at the wave and waved back. Hurrying out, he finished what he had been doing before Myanna had gotten loose. Then he moved everything back to the closet and hitailed it back to her enclosure to wrestle with her before bed.

"It doesn't show often and I am unsure if mangoes grow there...I did not have any until after the bad place but before here. The middle place. With the strange smells and people in white jackets and funny shiny objects," Benji replied, trying his best to discribe the veterinary clinic he had lives in briefly. "I am Benji. Jabrielle...it is very pretty, like you."

Vera shrugged. "I have laid out many charms and spells around this place. To protect and warn me of danger. If someone comes in without serious counter spells, I will know. But we can sit out in the front room. From there we can see the front entrance and the path leading into the estate."

Max lifted the covers and watched Violet, careful not to disturb her. Once in bed, he tucked the blanket around him. He smiled, glad the girls were sleeping.

Benji shook his head. "No. I don't know where I am. Or where I am from. It is colder here then home was. Not much right now but I saw white stuff. Fluffy and cold. I have not seen any bamboo either. I like that very much. And mangos. Mangos are so good."

"Oh! Thanks," Amadeus said, pulling his shirt back on. "Do you want clothes to wear when out under the moon? Just so I know and can get you some if you wanted. We are going to have to come up with some way to communicate while you are in your tiger form. So that I can do things how you'd like." He opened and held the door for her, glad that things had ended well.

Benji was surprised she wasn't embarrassed by his nudity and moved to stand up. He had no shame there. He ran around nude every day. "I am not exactly sure what I am. My family has been able to so this for generations. We shift in sunlight. That is why I was trying to go outside. To run away. But I don't want you to get in trouble. I...was not treated well before this. I am not going to be hurt here, right? You'll keep me safe?" He asked softly, his hands moving to find a tail that wasn't there.
