"Yes, I think I'll stay out of that fight." Jack said. "You two can find ways to destroy each other in your own time." He paused for a moment. "Though, and I hate to admit it, I'm quite curious as to who would win."

As soon as he realised that Katu had attacked, Hunter rolled upright and fired three Aura Spheres in quick succession, one at either trainer and one at the Sableye. He didn't hope to do much other than perhaps knock the trainer's over. He knew it was more or less wasted on the mega, but he had to try. He was also slightly taken aback by Aino's sudden ferociousness. He decided that the trainer's at least would be distracted for a moment. He turned to the Sableye and used close combat.

Hunter glanced over at Katu, saw what she was doing and decided to follow suit. He slowly sank until he wad lying down and closed his eyes almost all the way, leaving just a small slit with which he would be able to see if anything was standing directly over him.

There we go. Hunter thought to himself and glanced at the others. He looked at the two humans and, what concerned him a bit more, the mega Pokémon accompanying them. He didn't make a noise as he sank slightly lower behind the fountain, not sure how smart it would be to start fighting.

("Yours?" Jack exclaimed, as the Soviet anthem began playing in the far distance. "You do realise I wear red for a reason, right?")

"I see." Jack nodded. "Your Forerunners, huh? Go figure. And you want to be killing each other... why, exactly? Can't we all just be friends?" He spread his hands reasonably.

(I should be free.)

Hunter shrugged. "I should imagine that there would be some. Is there anything like a police station here? On the other hand, individual buildings would likely keep their own surveillance, if that's what you're thinking." He paused.

"And you're not wrong about the waiting."

"Ah." Jack nodded. "So, just out of curiousity, what exactly did you expect to be attacked by? And, point of clarification, YOUR Forerunners?" He asked, tilting his head.

"Not all Pokémon seem to be immune, but yeah." Hunter agreed. "Also, anyone hungry?" Hunter asked Aino and Albafica, putting down the sack and grabbing a berry for himself, not really concerned with which one came to hand. "There's something to drink in there as well." He gestured towards the bag.

"How many standing armies do- did- you maintain?" Jack asked, curious. He felt that he should have heard about them, but, other than the Balvarine Temple, he couldn't recall hearing any of the things mentioned.

Hunter nodded and made for the fountain as well. He watched the can that Katu was levitating silently, caught up in his own thoughts. Without the humans, a lot of things would change. Bank account balances seemed to be near the top of the list, but there were a few other things that he wondered about. For one, there would be a lot of Pokémon trapped in their balls.

"Do I look like I carry a map?" Jack asked, rolling his eyes. "We should ask the Priestess. Or maybe Naomi. I'm fairly sure that Order was very keen on keeping those maps pretty up to date. It's an unhealthy obsession of their's." He suggested.

Hunter sighed at the conclusion they had reached as he packed away the lemonade and picked up the bag. "Well, that's perfect." He muttered. "Just..." He lapsed into silence. "Come on, then. Unless there's something else you want to buy?" He asked.

"Hmph. I know that feeling." Jack muttered. He looked around. "North..." He thought. "I mean, it certainly depends on HOW North, but the Folly isn't really that well guarded. And, if one were determined, they could find the communication glyphs to talk to the Snowspire Oracle. And then, of course, beyond that lies the ruins of the Old Kingdom, but I see no point in going there. What do you think?" His automatic reaction was to turn to Sliuril, but he forced himself to address the question to both sisters.

"Well, basic power stations require constant validation that a human is monitoring them. So those will 0robably turn off today or tomorrow. Then, I suppose places like this would have backup power for a week or so. After that, only the really important buildings will have a long lasting supply." The Lucario shrugged, fiddling with the controls and swiping the card. He stared down at it as the lemonade bottles were dispensed. "You know," he said, not taking his eyes off the card, "the fog must have come really suddenly. It can't have gradually rolled over the town. All at once. These people didn't have time to react."

Jack raised an eyebrow. "I don't see you addressing me by my full title." He shot back, a smile in his eyes. Then he turned back to Copper. "I am the Jack of Blades, Third of the Court of the Void. I am a..." He glanced at Sliuril and considered for a moment. "Acquaintance... of your sister. And I tank you for not trying to kill us." He paused and thought.

"Yes, that's about it. Anything you'd like to add?" He asked Sliuril.

"Yeah, sure." Hunter craned his neck to locate the drink, holding out a hand for the credit card as he did so. "I think I see the lemonade. Thanks for packing those, by the way." He mumbled. He felt he was leaving a lot of work to the smaller Pokémon and that made him a bit uncomfortable.

Jack threw his hands up in the air and walked away. "Of course he is. What else? I don't know why I bother making friends."

After a moment he circled back around. "How much trouble?" He asked. Then he became unsure of the proper way to address Copper. "Ma'am?" He hazarded.

"You know, I'm sure I could say something about honour and something, but survival is what it is." The Lucario shrugged.

Hunter blinked a few times as the packages fell out. He looked from them to the bag he was holding to the packages and back. "Right, bigger bag." He muttered, stuffing one of the packs into the one Katu had given him.

Jack circled around the pod, frowning. "Maybe he's still on his way?" He suggested but without any real enthusiasm. He felt the magic surrounding the pod. Then he looked around at the ground, searching for prints that might reveal anything.

Hunter blinked, then looked around. "Probably not." He shrugged. "Also, I really don't think the fact that they would is going to stop this from happening, so..." He shrugged and made a 'go ahead' gesture. "I wonder how the human law deals with thieving Pokémon." Hunter wondered idly.
