appearance: Apparently I can't draw humans as well as I thought, so have a description:
he has a light blue shirt sort of cut in the style of Opal's, with a darker blue gem in his chest with two small lightly-colored triangle designs leading out of the gem on top and bottom. He has dark blue long pants and even darker shoes, his skin being colored a sort of aqua, and his eyes colored cyan. His hair is short and messy, colored a very light blue. Also this is his gem

Alex sighed and turned his head to face his nightstand. He reached out an arm and pulled towards him a dusty book. It was rather small, and torn mostly, because it was one of the few things he'd managed to save from destruction a year ago. But of course it still had gotten quite some damage inflicted. He flipped through the pages, then slammed it shut and set it aside. Prob'ly gonna take longer than normal.
