Congratulations to Navuso who was the first club member to find the PH virtual cache! Don't forget that every person to find the cache will get a small prize, so keep on looking if you haven't found it yet.

Speaking of finding caches, I found my 60th cache today! :D A really easy one, but in quite a lovely location. I have now reached the point that all caches within walking distance of my house are all found, and as I don't drive I'm now relying on other people driving me places to find new caches. It is a rather big achievement by my thinking, as I can walk for up to 6 hours a day on average (depending on terrain of course) so "within walking distance" for me means quite a large area.

Important Stuff

On Monday I will be leaving for a week to go to a creative arts camp (sooooo excited!). This means I won't be online much, so if you have any questions or problems, please contact our club mini-mod, Nessy. I will possibly be on every now and then to check on things, but won't be replying to posts or PM's until I get back.

I am planning quite a big update for the club when I return from camp, including new badges and challenges, but before I get too far along with that, I really would like to know who is still subscribed to this club. So, if you are still hanging around but haven't posted here since I announced the virtual cache challenge, please post to let me know you are still active here. To avoid it being marked as spam, please also say if there is anything you would like to see added to the club.

New Challenge!

So, I'm testing out an idea for a new series of challenges to add our club. This is, after all, a geocaching club, so I have been thinking of a way to do some cache-hunting right here on Pokeheroes.

So here's how it works. I have taken a small screenshot of part of an image somewhere on Pokeheroes. All you have to do is find out where it comes from.

Once you have found it, send me a PM to tell me the page and general location on the page of the "cache". For example, "It's on the Index Page, part of the Pelippers beak."

There will be a "First To Find" prize of 10,000pd, and every finder after then will get a small, random prize (a few gems, evolution stone etc...).

Please, no spoilers or hints are to be posted in the forum.

If enough people seem to like the idea, and participate, then I will make more of these at varying degrees of difficulty, and new badges will be added.

So, are you ready for your first PH virtual cache? Well, here it is!

Yay, I got to go caching today! :D

I went for a 3 hour and 40 minute walk, and ended up with 4 out of 5 of the caches that were along the way. They were all out in rural areas, so no muggles around to bother me apart from the occasional tractor driving passed.

I did, however, encounter a swarm of bees which was rather daunting for someone who is allergic. It was huge and went right across the road, and I had nowhere to go except right through it. By some miracle the bees avoided me completely and I didn't get stung at all.

The caches themselves were all in order, apart from the one I missed which I think has been muggled. It was a fairly obvious where it was supposed to be, there was a nice little cache-sized indent right where the clue said it would be. :P

So, my experience got me thinking, has anyone else faced any hazards while caching?

	Yay! Congratulations! What sort of cache was it? Was it an easy or tricky find? I haven't been caching in aaaages, I just haven't had the time because of work.
