Sniping is probably one of the only ways for users to have a chance to win something instead of bidding waiting for the auction to end. I feel like sniping can be useful for new users as well as older users. I myself snipe now and again if it's a Pokémon I really like. However, I can see how this option could benefit users. So, I will support only if you can disable it, like @Jellypuff said.
