The ash that blankets the landscape seems to amplify the obscurity, creating a foreboding atmosphere. The absence of stars in the sky, likely obscured by the constant haze of ash, makes it almost impossible to navigate without a light source. Even the shimmering Obeliscus, once a beacon of hope, fades into the shadows as its shadow disappears with the setting of the sun. The air itself seems to thicken and grow heavier, as if the spirits of Mastix stir in the darkness. The abandoned village becomes even more ghostly, with the silhouettes of buildings only visible through the occasional ember that flickers to life. The Pantheonum's ruins loom in the distance, a testament to the gods who once reigned in this layer of Otherworld. A shinigami strode forward and dragged Luffy away as Homusubi's booming voice resonated throughout the venue. Kojirou InariThat bastard of a Kami-no-Kami stole my concept of Ōmagatoki? Interesting...well I guess I don't have an excuse to go to Mastix again. Kojirou discreetly used his kami powers to warp through the barrier between Elysium and Mastix. Damn, the air quality here's only gotten worse since the last time I've been here. That was, like, 120 years ago, I think. Well, I guess this place's still filled with dying gods, and they really can't do much. After some mindless floating in the air, he eventually found the venue Homusubi was using to host his own Ōmagatoki game. Under normal circumstances, such a simple landmark would be difficult to distinguish from almost anything else, but after the majority of Mastix mysteriously burned down, white and gold stood out against the ashen landscape like a sore thumb. Kojirou draped an invisibility cloak over his opaque physical form and moved closer to where the contestants were. [Read more] |

Ōmagatoki: Voluntas Dei Morientis (Game 4) Current Time: DAY All characters may speak during the day. They may also choose to condemn a character to the Extermination Room. Homusubi, the Kami-no-Kami of fire, stood before the twelve gathered spirits. His normally fierce demeanor was now tinged with a solemn sadness, not unlike the ashen landscape of Mastix. "My dear spirits," he began, "As you may know, the life of a kami is not eternal. And it seems that my time is drawing to a close," Homusubi held up a hand to silence any speech. "But fear not, for I have decided to hold the fourth Ōmagatoki, and I invite you all to participate." Homusubi paused, his eyes scanning the group before him. "You see," He continued, "my power as a Kami-no-Kami is great, but it is not meant for just one. I wish to pass on my divine power to another worthy spirit. And what better way to determine that than through a game of Ōmagatoki?" Homusubi's voice was filled with a sense of urgency. "But be warned, my friends. The world of Otherworld is in turmoil. Alice Beaumontt-Devereux has ignited a war on Anastasia Blackthorne's realm, and the economic battle between the Inari and Puragu clans has caused the value of our currency to plummet.
