unknown were introduced in pokemon gold and silver, they are hieroglyph pokemon. they were hiding dormant on the walls of an ancient cave near the beginning towns until you solved a cave puzzle, then when you caught all of them if you owned a gb printer attachtment you could use the unknown to print out messages. they are a psychic type and each one represents a part of the written alphebet.

Mystery #7 Treasure chest minigame

today i found a legendary pokemon inside one of the chests in the gambling den, it immediately ran away and now i have to go on a journey to find it. don't sleep on the treasure chests, you can find some really cool things inside. Time to go ask Professor Rowen what he knows about this illusive legendary pokemon that for some reason likes to sleep inside of treasure chests and taunt hopeless gamblers.
