BoomBoy [peg] [2/2] i then went away and read about dysteleology, and i didn't find any reference to it in the sense that they meant, but i did find it to refer to redundant organs like your appendix, which makes sense if you look up the argument. then i fell down a whole rabbit hole of discovering new words, some of which featured in my fact-of-the-day today. language is a beautiful miracle, and i discover more every day. 1 Year ago
BoomBoy [peg] [1/2] so my friend was talking about the dysteleological argument (he studies theology) and apparently you can use that word to refer to anything that doesn't serve its intended purpose. i was talking about how i wanted to go on a holiday to a particular place but i don't want to fly, and that if i took the train it would take three days, so i'd just have to turn around when i got there - he used this as the example for "dysteleological". 1 Year ago

Personally I'm not a big fan of cake. A bit too creamy and sweet, but I feel that I can make exceptions with red velvet cake. Can't really elaborate on this much tho.
