Also, reviews would be appreciated, but through PM and Palpad ONLY. Any flames will be given to Inferno to boost her health or even put out by Azure. Constructive criticism is accepted though.So, without further ado, to the story!
Chapter 1-Prologue
Azure, a Vaporeon, sat on the beach, his blue tail skimming gently across the waves as his friend, Pearl, walked up demurely, "Azure, your father requests for your presence."
Azure sighed. "Tell father I am on my way."
Pearl inclined her head. "Of course, your highness." she replied before diving into the waves.
Azure felt sad as he wistfully gazed up at the sunset. "I miss you, Fern."

Inferno, a Flareon, sat perched on the edge of the volcano, her tail swishing from side to side. Then, ten balls of power swirled around her as she closed her eyes, then launched them.
"Ouch, Inferno...You really didn't have to do that, you know.." her friend, Flare groaned.
"You know that approaching me from behind is dangerous, Flare," Inferno replied. "What does my father want now?"
"He requires your presence in the throne room, your highness," Flare said, wincing as he stood up.
Inferno pushed him directly into the volcano. "Now you don't have to visit the infirmary," she said as she walked away.
"I miss you, Aur," she mumbled quietly.

"WHAT?" Azure yelled. "Father, I cannot get married, especially to the princess of the Volcano Kingdom!"
His father looked unabashed. "Azure, our kingdoms have been at war for far too long. This is the only way to join them together."
Azure looked furious. "What about Fern? The female Eevee you met 7 years ago? You promised that I could marry her!"
His father sighed. "Azure, I know you love her, but this is necessary for the good for our kingdom."
Azure growled angrily. “Fine, but doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it!”
His father watched him as he stormed off. ”I’m sorry, Azure,” he murmured.

Inferno walked into the throne room, inclining her head towards her father.
“Ah, Inferno, you’ve arrived. I have called you here for the purpose of explaining your arranged marriage to the Prince of the Beach Kingdom.” King Flare said, looking up from the window.
Inferno internally growled. How could he declare an arranged marriage for me now of all times? He knows how close I was to Aur!
King Flare continued calmly, “In two days we shall go to the border. There, you will follow Prince Azure to the Beach Kingdom and stay there for 3 days. After that, he shall come here for 3 days. By that time, you two should be able to choose the place for the wedding and where you two will stay afterwards.”
“But father, how will I be able to stay in the Beach Kingdom? Everybody knows it’s underwater,” Inferno protested.
“King Neptune has assured me they have a way for you to stay there, as we have a way for Prince Azure to stay here.” King Flare said, in a tone that stated there was to be no argument.
Inferno inclined her head, sighing internally, “Of course, father.”

Azure and Inferno walked atop the beach, a fair distance from each other as they stared at the moon.
“It was nice of you and your father to stay on the beach instead of the sea for me,” Inferno murmured.
“Oh, that? It was nothing Princess. Tell me, do you have anything against this marriage?” Azure replied.
Inferno’s ears flattened against her head, “Yes, I do, and I would appreciate it if you did not ask me why.”
Azure, seeing her discomfort, decided not to press the issue further and fell asleep beside her beneath the masses of stars glittering against an obsidian background.

Inferno woke up to a Hydro Pump aimed directly at her face. She shot up, startled and immediately spotted her attacker, a Vaporeon with a Citrine gem hung around her neck.
Instantly, orbs of power began to swirl around Inferno, launching them at the Vaporeon. Azure stirred as he heard the noises made from the Hidden Power. “Princess Inferno, what’s going on? It’s far too early in the morning to wake.”
The Vaporeon, Pearl, and Inferno stared at him incredulously. “It’s far too early in the morning?” they mouthed in unison. Then, Azure opened his eyes and looked at the two of them, engaged in battle.
“What in the name of Arce-? You two, stop!” Azure yelled.
Pearl spun to look at him, “What? Your highness, I beg of you to think again! This is a Flareon, our sworn enemy!”
Azure growled. “Not if it was an arranged marriage, Pearl. Not to mention, the Flareon you just attacked can wage a war onto our entire kingdom if she so wished.”
“Please,” Pearl said dismissively. “It’s not like she’s the princess anyway, she doesn’t have the tiara to prove it.”
Azure looked behind Pearl nervously. ”Um, Pearl, I think you had better look again.”

Pearl woke up with a start. "What a dream," she murmured.
Blaze turned to her anxiously. "Are you all right, Pearl?" he asked.
"I-I'm fine," she said, taking a deep breath when everything came back to her. She sucked in a breath.
'Really, if you feel funny, you should take a rest, " Blaze replied, his eyes narrowed in concern.
"No. I'm fine," she protested as her mind looked at the past few days. When Azure and Inferno were spending their last night together in the Volcano Kingdom, Inferno had realized Azure was wearing a Topaz Gem around his neck, the betrothal necklace she had given to Aur. She had them knocked him down with a well-placed Fire Blast and interrogated him about it, when they both discovered that the Eevee they had met 7 years ago were each other.
This warranted questions from Blaze and Pearl and ended up in them marrying each other too.
In the end, the quartet were united in a beautiful double wedding, where the rivalry surrounding the Beach and Volcano Kingdoms were finally put to rest.
Pearl sighed in satisfaction when Sol, her son, looked up at her with bright eyes. "Can you tell me a story, mum? Please?"
"Okay, Sol.. now, Azure, a Vaporeon, sat upon the beach..."
